Romans 6:4
"Therefore we are buried with him by
baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up
from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we
also should walk in newness of life."
April is usually associated with the celebration of
Easter It is a time celebrating the resurrection of our
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Church attendance sky
rockets through the roof on Easter Sunday, and many
people gather together with family and friends and
spend the day Easter egg hunting and giving Easter
gifts to one another.
With all the activities that accompany this time of year,
have you ever stop to think about why we celebrate the
resurrection of Jesus? Many people have no concept
of what the significance of Jesus being raised from
the dead means, and how it impacts our life!
Most of us have heard John 3:16 before. But do we
really understand what it means? "For God so loved
the world, that he gave us his only begotten Son that
whosoever would believe in him, shall not perish but
shall HAVE ETERNAL LIFE!"
Jesus came to give you and I life. (John 10:10) He
came to give you and I ETERNAL LIFE. Eternal life
here means the VERY LIFE OF GOD HIMSELF. This
life is A NEW LIFE. A POWERFUL LIFE, A LIFE OF
FREEDOM AND VICTORY. It is the very
RESSURECTION LIFE OF CHRIST HIMSELF!
Jesus Christ did not come into the world to give you
and I death. The Word of God declares that death
came into the world by sin. (Romans 5:12). God does
not kill people. No! In fact He created you and I to live
forever. The only reason why death is a part of our
lives in any way is a direct result of sin entering into
our world.
Even though sin entered into our world and with it
death, God had a remedy. The remedy was Jesus
Christ. Romans 5:19,& 21 says; "For as by one man's
disobedience many we made sinners, so by the
obedience of one shall many be made righteous. That
as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace
reign through righteousness unto ETERNAL LIFE by
Jesus Christ our Lord."
Notice here the Word of God declares that because of
the obedience of one man Jesus Christ, many are
made righteous. Because of the redemptive work of
the cross, you and I now have the opportunity to
receive the RESURRECTION LIFE of Christ.
Look at what Jesus said in John 3:6 "That which is
born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the
Spirit is spirit." You and I were spiritually dead, but
the day you I made Jesus Christ the Lord of your lives
we were SPIRITUALLY born. We were spiritually
resurrected. We were what John 3:3 declares "born
again"
Look at what Ephesians 2:5-6 says: "Even when we
were dead in sins, (HE) hath quickened, (made
ALIVE) us together with Christ, (by grace are ye
saved;) And hath RAISED us up together, and made
us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus."
God is declaring to us that the greater part of our
resurrection HAS ALREADY taken place.
WE WERE DEAD! BUT HE CAME AND MADE US
ALIVE. WE WERE SEPERATED, BUT HE CAME AND
RAISED US UP TO SIT TOGTHER WITH CHRIST IN
HEAVENLY PLACES!
Romans 6:11 says "Likewise reckon ye also
yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto
God through Jesus Christ our Lord. The day we were
born again, we passed from death to life. We were
raised up, resurrected spiritually, and were made
spiritually alive unto God in Christ Jesus. 2
Corinthians 5:17 declares "Therefore if any man be in
Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed
away; behold, all things are become new." YOU AND I
NOW HAVE A NEW LIFE TO ENJOY IN CHRIST!
Not only are we resurrected spiritually through the
resurrection life of Christ, but our bodies can be
affected by this LIFE as well. You see Romans 6:4
tells us this ". . . that like as Christ was raised up from
the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also
should walk in newness of life."
As a result of the resurrection of Christ by the Glory of
the Father you and I now can partake of His new life.
We can live in this earth just like Jesus is living right
now. He is living the resurrected life, and so should
you and I.
God created you and I to thwart off sickness naturally.
We all have a built in immune system. Gods' original
design for our bodies was complete health. Adam
was created healthy. There was no sickness in the
Garden of Eden before the fall of man.
When Adam sinned, he died spiritually, as a result he
became vulnerable and physical death eventually
occurred. Now I want you to see something here, as
soon as sickness has advanced beyond the power of
nature to bring recovery it will result in death. Doctors
will admit that they don't have the power to heal. They
only have the power to assist nature.
Romans 8:2; declares"--the Law of the Spirit of life in
Christ Jesus hath made me FREE from the law of sin
and death." The truth is we have been made FREE
from the laws that govern sin and death, through the
RESSERECTION LIFE OF Christ! Romans 8:11 tells
us that if the same Spirit that raise up Jesus from the
dead dwell in us He too will also make life in our
mortal or subject to death bodies just like He did in
Jesus' body!
That is what the Life of God will do. It will make life!
This resurrection life, not only makes life in our spirit,
but also in our bodies as well. This RESURECTION
LIFE of God, is the only supernatural power that can
remove the yoke of sickness, and the burden of
disease when nature fails. When disease has
advanced beyond the power of nature to recover the
body, nothing but the RESURECTION LIFE OF
CHRIST CAN SAVE US!
It is time for the Church of Jesus Christ to wake up to
this truth: Through the redemption of Christ we all
have, as a part of our inheritance, the supernatural
resurrection life of Jesus Christ imparted to us.
Jesus came, and paid the penalty for our sin. He
erased sin from man, which held us in bondage to
death. He shed His blood, died, was resurrected, and
reconciled us back to the Father by giving us HIS
RESSURECTION LIFE!
Received that resurrection life today and begin
walking in and experiencing the freedom His life
brings!
