Keep Your Healing
Luke 6:47-48
“For everyone who comes to Me and listens to My words (in order to heed their teaching) and does them, I will show you what he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug and went down deep and laid a foundation upon the rock; and when a flood arose the torrent broke against that house and could not shake or move it, because it had been securely built or founded on a rock.”
Many times in a prayer line, I have sensed the healing anointing of God go into people, as I touch them, much like the example of the woman who had the issue of blood. When she reached out in faith, and touched Jesus, virtue or power went out of Him and into her. Jesus turned and said to her “Daughter thy faith hath made thee whole, go in peace.” (Luke 8:48) You can always tell when faith is in operation, for faith will draw upon the healing anointing of God. The women with the issue of blood, her faith made a demand on the power of God, and she received the POWER to heal her body. These same people who just received an awesome display of the power of God, and walk away healed and restored to health, find themselves a few weeks later dealing with the same symptoms and are worse than they were before. What happened? They were healed, every symptom was gone. Why did the sickness come back?
In Luke 6:47-48, Jesus described the man who built his house on the rock, and when the storms came it could not be shaken, or moved. But in verse 49, Jesus describes a man who did not build his house on the rock, and when the storm came, the house fell immediately, and great was the destruction of the house. When our house of healing is built, what our we building it upon? The rock of Gods Word, or the sand of some manifestation. When God moves to heal you through the manifestation of the Spirit of God, you will receive your healing. Sometimes you can receive a healing based on someone else’s faith. But because you don’t have your foundation rooted in the Word of God concerning healing, chances are you will loose that healing. You will be like the man who built his house on the sand. The storm came and destroyed it. The symptoms came, the devil bluffed you with symptoms, you accepted them, and he put sickness back on you.
We must build our house on “THE ROCK”. We must get to know the Lord. Smith Wigglesworth said, “I can’t understand God by feelings. I can’t understand Jesus Christ by my feelings. I understand God by what the Word says about Him. He is every thing the Word says He is. Get to know the Lord through the Word.” We must build our house of healing on the Word of God. When we know that “By His stripes ye were healed” (1 Peter 2:24), and when we know that “Surely He has borne our diseases and carried our pains..” (Isaiah 53:4), and when we know “Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses” (Matthew 8:17), and when we KNOW that in our spirit as well as in our head, then the devil will have no power over us. We must get to the point that we know the POWER and AUTHORITY of the Name of Jesus and that we have a right, a biblical right, to that Name. When we know that we know these principles, then the devil will have NO power over us. When the symptoms come, we will not be filled with fear, but with the Word of God. Be ready for the counter attack, for it will come. Satan will challenge what God has done in your life. When the devil comes with his counter attack you can simply laugh at him, and say, “Devil, you’re whipped, you have been beaten, now get our of here with that sickness of yours, and. leave my body NOW!” And you know what, he will leave. We must learn to “Submit ourselves therefore to God. (and His Word) Resist the devil, and he will flee..” (James 4:7). We must learn to say “Devil, you can’t put that back on me! The Lord has healed me. I won’t accept it back.” As brother Kenneth Hagin says, “Keep your switch of faith turned on”. Learn to stand with your shield of faith in front of you, which will quench all the fiery darts of the evil one, and KEEP YOUR HEALING today.
