In John 1:18 we read where the Son, Jesus Christ, is in the bosom
of the Father, and how the Son reveals the the Father and makes Him known. In
this passage we see the relationship the Son has with the Father, and as a
result we see the Son passionetely fullfilling His purpose in life. First of all a child is to know his
Father. He is to know him
intimately. He is to be so close to his
Father, that he finds safety, comfort, strength and wisdom from His Father. In
Ephesians 1:17 we see the desire of our Father, which is for us to have a spirit of wisdom
and revelation in the close, personal, and intimate knowledge of Him. Only through this intimate relationship with our Father will we know and fulfill our purpose in life. Through His relationship with His Father, Jesus was able to reveal and make Him known. Our purpose in life is two fold. First we are to know God as our Father, to
know him personally through our Lord Jesus Christ. Secondly, we are to reveal Him to the world According to 2 Corinthians 5:19; we are to communicate to the
world how God is not holding their sin against them anymore because of Christ
Jesus, and how they can come back home.
