JESUS IS ALIVE. Thank you so much for joining with us in ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Your prayers and financial support of this ministry are empowering us to fulfill our mission of Healing the Brokenhearted. You are so important to God, and to this vision.
“And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting." (Acts 2:1-4)
When the Holy Spirit and fire fell on the Day of Pentecost, God first filled the building where they were gathered.
God desires to be personally present with His Children. So to fill a building with His presence where we are gathered together should not be unusual to us as believers. In fact this is nothing new. God was able to do that under the Old Covenant;
“It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; ….that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord; So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.” (2 Chron 5:13-14)
God is still doing this today through Jesus Christ. This is why it is so important for believers to not forsake the assembling of ourselves together. (Heb 10:25) We need to stay in fellowship with one another in one accord and in one place. God fills the Church with His Glory, His presence when we are in one accord waiting on Him, giving Him room.
There are Churches today where the Holy Spirit is not welcome. He is not honored, and religious works and traditions have taken His place. As a result we have a lifeless dead religion instead of a vibrant passionate experience with the Father Himself in our services.
Yes God fills buildings with His Spirit today, like those found here in Acts 2:1-4. He does this with those who are “...in one accord, (no divisions or strife) and in one place.”
Notice God filled the house first. God brought His presence down to the Church corporately.
He fills the house where believers are gathered seeking Him and giving Him His honorable place. When God is on the scene miracles happen. That is why we are experiencing miracles here at Freedom Christian Fellowship and at the RSMI Prayer & Healing Ministry.
We invite Him and allow Him to embrace His people. His gifts of the Spirit along with signs and wonders are manifesting in these services. His compassionate overwhelming love is being received and people's lives are being transformed before our very eyes.
As glorious as this is, God is not satisfied with filling just buildings with His presence. He desires more. With the new and better covenant we have through the blood of Jesus, God can now fill you personally with His Spirit.
Acts 2:4 says, "And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."
This is such a priority with God that this was the first thing He did in this first outpouring of His Spirit. After filling the house, He filled His Children with His very presence, individually. This is His desire for you today. Look at what God's continual instruction is to the Church;
"Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but BE FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT. " (Eph. 5:17-18)
"Be not unwise, but be filled with the Spirit" is God's will. The verb translated "be filled" in the Greek actually means "be being filled." It is not just a one-time experience. It's one thing to get filled, but it's another thing to stay filled.
Today I had to take a small trip so I filled my gas tank up in my car. I noticed after I came back to town it was not the same as it was when I filled it just two hours earlier. If I am going to be able to keep driving it, I am going to have to keep filling it.
God wants you filled with His Spirit. Find the house where believers are seeking His presence, get in agreement with them. Be filled with a fresh baptism of His presence and begin living that supernatural life He purposed you to live today.
