"And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us. And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him." (1 John 5:14-15)
1 John 5:14 says that when we ask
according to His will, HE HEARS US, and if He hears us, then we know WE HAVE what we asked for.
What
is the will of God? His will is His Word! His will is reconciliation. Confident
faith comes when you know Him, and His will. (His Word)
In 1 Samuel 3:21 we read; “And the Lord appeared again in Shiloh : for the Lord revealed Himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the Word of the Lord.”
If
you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ literally becomes
your Shiloh place. It is here in our Shiloh place that God reveals Himself and His will to us.
He does this through, and by His Word.
I
want to encourage you today to run to Him, spend time with Him, find out what
His will is, find out what He is saying to you through His Word.
Jesus
made the way for you and I to be able to come back home to our Father. By
seeking Him, and His Word you & I will begin developing a loving
relationship with Him, that will begin forming faith in our hearts.
Now,
once faith is formed in you, you will have the confidence you need to pray to our
loving Father, and expect results.
Listen,
He wants you, His very own child, to be confident in His ability to answer your
prayer. He desires to meet your need. When you develop your faith through spending
time with Him, and His Word, you will be able to pray with confidence, knowing
that what you asked for will be given to you.
Let
me give you an illustration. God has
said in His Word, that He has already healed you (1 Peter 2:24 ).
When you gain the revelation knowledge of this by spending time with Him in Shiloh , then you will have the confidence, or faith you
need to approach Him for your healing.
You
will have gained the knowledge of His will concerning healing, and will be
ready to receive from Him. You now know,
that your healing has already been given, and now YOU are ready to receive
it.
Faith
pleases God. (Hebrews 11:6) Faith pleases God, because this is how we are
able to experience what He has given us!
We experience His will in our lives through our FAITH. Paul made it clear in the book of Romans that a man is not justified by the works of the Law, but
rather by and through FAITH. (Romans 3:28) (to be continued )
